PILGRIMS

Today we learned about the letter V. We made a volcano with baking soda, and vinegar. The boys all that it was so exciting. Zachary told me about 15 times to be sure to tell his mom how to make a volcano. We learned about Pilgrims, and how they came over on the Mayflower. We talked about all of the new things they had to learn when they got here. We talked about how the Indians taught them how to plant crops, and they taught the Indians some new things also. Sang lots of Thanksgiving songs, and read a book about thanksgiving. We made mashed potatoes. The boys all loved pealing, and cutting (with a butter knife of course) the potatoes.
